Groesbeck
Warren, MI 48089
Function:
Truckwell
and warehousing facility.
Project
Size:
55,000 square feet
This
project, depicted below, involved the demolition of a 13 acre, 7
building industrial complex on Groesbeck, formerly Veet Industries.
This property is adjacent to an Iroquois property.
Iroquois acquired the site for the expansion of their operations.
The site was declared a "Brownfield"
site by the
State of Michigan,
which gave Iroquois some financial help in reclaiming the property
and dealing with the environmental issues involved.
We were excited to be the first "Brownfield"
reclamation site in the City of Warren.
We
cleared the property most of the summer of 2002; and have completed a 55,000 square foot warehouse addition on the
reclaimed property. This
addition supports the manufacturing of the engine cradle for the
"Jeep Liberty", which Iroquois is producing for Daimler-Chrysler. This is the
first of several buildings to fully develop
this 13 acre site.
